+++

Designed as an interdisciplinary programme, the Doctorate in Advanced Studies in Humanities aims to provide research training in four specialities: History, Art, Philosophy and Ancient Sciences. The programme integrates members of the Departments of Ancient Sciences; Greek Philology, Arabic Studies, General Linguistics, Library Science and Latin Philology; Philosophy; History of Art, in collaboration with members of staff from the Faculty of Fine Arts; Modern and Contemporary History. Researchers initially participate as international experts from more than twenty universities and research centres.

The programme is composed of four basic lines of research. The lines are comprised of research teams and these, in turn, are supported by research projects. Together they offer a representative overview of the major lines of humanistic research today. Advanced Studies in Humanities will include thesis projects that are flexibly framed within these major lines of research.

The basic updated information of the programme is published in the section of the web entitled Procedures Guide.
