The primary aims of the Secure Societies Challenge are:
- to enhance the resilience of our society against natural and man-made disasters;
- to develop novel solutions for the protection of critical infrastructure;
- to fight crime and terrorism;
- to improve border security;
- to support the Union’s external security policies;
- to provide enhanced cyber-security.
This workshop will address a wide audience comprising data users and service providers from a variety of fields in the Security domain, offering a key opportunity for Security stakeholders to participate in the BigDataEurope project and in the Big Data platform development.

Over 200 people will attend the two days Conference 'Transition towards Sustainable & Liveable Urban Future' in Brussels on 29 and 30 September.
There will be events at three venues:- Connecting the Actors - European Parliament
- Celebrating and sharing the urban achievements - Norway House
- Committing to joint urban programming and actions - Committee of the Regions.
JPI Urban Europe's Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) will be launched on the first day in the European Parliament. We want to connect with our guests via panel discussions and workshops addressing the issues and thematic priorities of the SRIA.
Our corporate movie will have it's premiere, demonstrating our spirit and closely connecting with citizens.
